Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect in the first session?

Our first session is a chance to get to know each other. We will discuss your goals, challenges, and how therapy can support you.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, I accept the following insurance providers: Cigna, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, and Aetna.

For those without insurance or who prefer to pay privately, I also offer a sliding scale to ensure therapy remains accessible. If you have questions about coverage or payment options, feel free to reach out, and we can discuss what works best for you.

If you are wondering if we accept your specific insurance plan, please do not hesitate to contact at (305) 771-3895.

What are the risks and benefits of doing therapy?

Therapy is a journey, and like any meaningful growth, it comes with challenges. Sometimes sessions may leave you feeling tired or stretched as you work through difficult emotions or confront new perspectives. Growth can be uncomfortable, but that’s part of the process.

The reward? You emerge stronger, more self-aware, and equipped to handle life’s challenges with resilience. Along the way, you’ll uncover more moments of joy, fulfillment, and a deeper connection to yourself and others.

How long are sessions, and how often do we meet?

Sessions typically last 50 minutes. The frequency of sessions depends on your needs and goals, which we’ll discuss together.

Can you work with my teen or family?

Yes, I work with teens, families, and couples. I provide support tailored to their unique needs and challenges.

Where is your office located?

Currently, we conduct all sessions through Telehealth. In some cases, depending on your location, special arrangements to meet in-person with your therapist can be made. We can discuss that when appropriate.
